How to close your sFOX account

Everything you need to know about closing your account in the sFOX mobile app

What happens when your sFOX account is closed?

Closing your account means that you will no longer have access to:

  • Your existing account

  • Any other accounts that you have been added to as a collaborator

This also means that all collaborators that you have previously added to your account will also no longer have access to your account.

Which steps to take before closing my account?

Do note that only the original account holder has the ability to request for an account closure.

Before requesting for an account closure, please make sure that:

  • All balances (fiat/crypto) in your account has been withdrawn to your bank account or transferred to other wallets

  • All trade orders & positions have been closed

  • No tokens are currently being staked

Our team will not be able to close your account unless all of the requirements above have been fulfilled.

What do you need to do to close your account?

  1. Head to the “Accounts” tab in the mobile app

  2. A “Close My Account” button will appear under “Account Settings” (only if you are the original account holder)

  3. Once you have clicked on this, a big “Close My Account” button appears

  4. If you have fulfilled all the requirements stated before, you will see a secondary confirmation message to double confirm your request

  5. Once you have double confirmed your request, our Client Services team will review and process your request within the next 5 business days

  6. You will be notified on the registered email address once the account has been closed.

After your account is closed, you are welcome to use sFOX' services again by signing up as a new user. Your old account can not be reactivated under any circumstances. Note that a new account can only be created with a new, unique, email address.

Your personal data will be retained for a minimum of 5 years to comply with our regulatory requirements as outlined in sFOX’s Privacy Policy.

If you are not a user of sFOX' mobile app and you want to close your account, you can reach out to support@sfox.com with your request. This email address may also be used for any questions you have.
